Story! Story!!
Once upon a time, there lived two foolish goats who set out on a journey to separate places. One was heading West while the other was travelling to the East. They met at the middle point of a bridge which could only permit the passage of one goat at a time. The two stubborn goats stood staring at each other. None of them wished to step back for the other to pass first.
"I am really in a hurry, my grandmother is seriously ill and I need to see her as soon as possible," said the first goat.
"I am in a rush too, I am already late for my daughter's wedding, so you step back and let me pass first," replied the second goat.
The arguments went on and on between the two goats who kept bickering on why the other should go back for him to pass first. Suddenly, dark clouds started gathering and there came a mighty storm. Before the two goats realized what was happening, the storm harshly shook the foundation of the bridge until it was broken. The helpless goats fell into the deep water flooding beneath and they both drowned and died, because they both could not swim. In the end, neither of them could arrive at the destination that needed their urgent attention.
MORAL LESSON
Wisdom is needed to avoid certain problems.
You do not need to be right all the time to be respected.
Know when to let go of your right to avoid complicated situations.
Slow and steady still wins the race.
